On 14.09.2020, Austria's Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs, Dr Margarete Schramböck, visited our corporate office in Ebbs. The significant investment in the site expansion provided the perfect occasion for the visit.
3CON ranks among the global leaders in the various fields of technology for the series production of automotive interiors. To meet the increasing requirements and high customer demands, our executive board decided to expand the existing headquarters extensively. Currently, the 3CON headquarters is undergoing an expansion totalling EUR 25 million for 12,000 square metres in the production, CNC manufacturing, apprenticeship workshop, and logistic areas. “Companies can remain future-proof only by investing in their infrastructure. I am pleased that we could create a lever with the investment premium for our companies in these difficult times. This provides substantial momentum for the entire economy,” noted Minister Schramböck.
During a company tour, the visitors, among whom included parliament representative, Barbara Schwaighofer and the mayor of Ebbs, Josef Ritzer, were able to experience 3CON's innovative capacity first hand. The political dignitaries were also impressed by the various new developments that were presented, e.g., fully automated sewing of textile coverings in series production, as well as the global networking of the intelligent 3CON production systems. “3CON focusses intensely on the field of digitalisation and the future production processes and is definitely on the right track. Thanks to the high degree of automation, local production sites are once again becoming attractive. I am excited and proud at the same time that we have such advanced companies here in Tirol,” the Minister stated.
