AMONG THE TOP 3

On 4 November, Austria’s most promising apprentices showcased their skills at the Austrian Federal Apprentice Competition for Mechatronics Engineers at WIFI Eisenstadt.

15 up-and-coming talents worked tirelessly for 8 hours to complete the task to the best of their ability. Specifically, the task was to use a control system to create an automatic pick-and-place system and program the required operating sequences within the specified time.

Our 3CON apprentice Michael Margreiter took an outstanding third place with his solution, finishing just behind his colleagues Jakob Lienbacher from the apprenticeship company UNTHA (Salzburg) and Marcel Scherr from Knapp AG (Styria).

“We are extremely proud of Michael. Our apprentices are all developing extremely well across the board and have already turned in highly impressive performances. Michael has of course made quite an impression with his top position in the competition. For us as an apprenticeship company, this provides a very important confirmation that we are on the right track with our training programme and quality,” said Ing. The 3CON headquarters in Ebbs in Tyrol is an apprenticeship company that has received several awards from the state of Tyrol and the Austrian federal government, with individually and flexibly designed block programs/apprenticeship modules that are tailored to the development of each individual apprentice. The company is currently training 33 apprentices in the fields of electrical engineering, mechatronics, metal technology, construction technology and operational logistics. In 2024/25, we intend to expand to up to 50.
